Best CS2 Releases in 2025 (RECAP) | Skins, Stickers, and More

We’ve officially made it to 2026, and looking back, what a wild ride the last year was for CS2.

If you thought Valve was going to slow down, 2025 proved you dead wrong.

It has been one of the best years for Counter-Strike, with new skins, stickers, collections, and more. And with this article, we pay tribute to the best stuff we have got.

Without further ado, let's review everything we received this year.

Cases and Collections

2025 was the best year for the Weekly Drops, with three new collections added to them on March 31: The Ascent, The Boreal, and The Radiant Collections. They have some iconic skins, such as M4A1-S | Stratosphere, AWP | Green Energy, AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge, Desert Eagle | Mulberry, and many more.

At the moment, the only ways of having these skins are through Weekly Care Packages or trading/purchasing. However, this is not the only thing we've got.

On March 31, Valve also released The Train 2025 Collection, which was added to the Armory. Players got crazy about the newly released AWP | LongDog and M4A4 | Hellish. For only four stars in the Armory, you can get a skin from this collection.

Souvenir Packages remained one of the most exciting Major-related drops in 2025, offering exclusive skins tied directly to iconic matches and moments. Dropping during playoff and highlight games at the Austin Major 2025 and Budapest Major 2025, these packages featured gold stickers with teams, players, and event branding, making them highly collectible. For many players, Souvenir skins are not just cosmetics, but lasting memories of legendary rounds, clutch plays, and historic Major runs.

Along with the new collections, we also got a new case and a brand new way of getting skins. Yes, we're talking about the Fever Case and the Sealed Genesis Terminal.

Fever Case stood out with its AWP | Printstream finish, which is the long-awaited continuation of the Printstream Family. The case was released on March 31 as well, making it the most packed skin release of 2025.

Finally, on September 16, Valve added the controversial Genesis Terminal, which gave you the option to buy a skin instead of unboxing it. Despite great finishes inside the terminal, the public did not respond well to it, and its price plummeted.

Nevertheless, it has delivered some amazing finishes like AK-47 | The Oligarch and M4A4 | Full Throttle.

Best Skins added in 2025

With all the new collections, cases, and skins discussed, we may want to find out the best ones out there. Based on HLTV's community voting for the skin of the year award, we could highlight these skins:

Stickers and Slabs

Stickers are becoming more and more popular in the community, and in 2025, the collection got even bigger.

As usual, there were two majors during the year, and each one brought special stickers to the game. This year, we have got Austin Major 2025 Stickers and Budapest Major 2025 stickers with all the participants' stickers and autographs.

Although not as popular, on May 22, Valve brought Warhammer Sticker Capsules to the game. They have some interesting-looking stickers, but their popularity never grew.

Along with the team and player stickers, on October 1, Valve added 2025 Community Stickers and Sugarface 2 Stickers to the Armory. You spend one star each time you get a sticker as a reward, and popular ones, such as Chrome Dome, PullHit, or Neon MVP, can easily get you back the money you spent on the Armory Pass.

Along with the stickers, on November 13, Valve introduced Sticker Slabs, which made stickers ever more popular. Basically, a Slab makes a sticker into a Charm that you can attach to a weapon or other cosmetics.

That idea sparked lots of new ideas for sticker crafts, such as an M4A4 | Howl with six Katowice 2014 IBUYPOWER stickers.

Conclusion

The HLTV Awards results will be announced on January 10, and we'll find out which one is the skin of the year, along with the best team, best player, and many more nominations.

2026 is set to be even more exciting, with lots of events, activities, and more.

Valve showed that they are willing to experiment and expand CS2’s cosmetic ecosystem, setting a strong foundation for even bigger and bolder releases in the years to come.
