Cheapest CS2 cases in 2026

Supply is the main reason behind CS2 case prices. While other things matter too, the cheapest CS2 cases right now all share one thing: they are still part of the active weekly drop pool.

This is important to know because the drop system is much smaller now than it used to be last year.

After the December 2025 update removed the rare drop pool, the supply of older cases was cut off completely, which caused their prices to go up.

Today, only 5 of the 44 CS2 cases are still entering the market through the game. Because their supply is constantly growing every week, they are naturally the cheapest ones available.

Sealed Genesis Terminal – The Cheapest CS2 Skin Container

Released on September 17, 2025 as CS2’s first Terminal, the Sealed Genesis Terminal is currently the cheapest CS2 skin container on the market. And while it is not a traditional Counter-Strike case, it still belongs here because some players use it to unlock weapon skins through the Terminal system.

Its low price mostly comes from how the Terminal works, but also from the fact that, unlike the Sealed Dead Hand Terminal, the Sealed Genesis Terminal has no Exceedingly Rare items, meaning no knives or gloves.

Because of this, it is less appealing to most players. And since it still drops weekly and new supply keeps entering the market, the price it's very low at around $0,09–$0,14.

Kilowatt Case - The cheapest CS2 Case

The Kilowatt Case is currently the cheapest case in CS2, sitting at around $0.11.

Released on February 6, 2024, it was the first case to introduce a Zeus x27 skin, the Zeus x27 | Olympus, and it also brought the Kukri Knife as its exclusive Exceedingly Rare gold-tier drop.

The case still has some popular skins, including the AK-47 | Inheritance and the AWP | Chrome Cannon, but its price stays low for two main reasons.

First, the Kilowatt Case is still in the active weekly drop pool, which keeps supply high. Second, the Kukri Knife is not a very popular knife type in CS2, so there is not enough hype around the gold drop to push the case price much higher.

Revolution Case

Currently the third cheapest case in Counter-Strike 2, the Revolution Case was released in February 2023 and is also currently part of the active weekly drop pool.

This case brought some of the best anime-inspired skins to the game, like the M4A4 | Temukau and MAC-10 | Sakkaku, along with other appreciated skins like the AK-47 | Head Shot and the controversial AWP | Duality.

For the Exceedingly Rare tier, you have gloves, with the Sport Gloves | Vice being the jackpot of this case.

Because it was added late in CSGO and is still actively dropping now in CS2, the Revolution Case can be considered the cheapest CSGO case available today.

Recoil Case

The Recoil Case is another cheap CS2 case, currently priced at around $0.22.

Released on July 1, 2022, it features 17 community-designed skins, with the AWP | Chromatic Aberration and USP-S | Printstream being the main highlights. For the Exceedingly Rare tier, the case contains 24 different glove skins.

The Recoil Case stayed cheap for a long time because it was part of the active weekly drop pool, but after it was removed in March 2026, its Steam Market price nearly doubled overnight.

Snakebite Case

Released in May 2021, the Snakebite Case features gloves as its Exceedingly Rare items, with the M4A4 | In Living Color and USP-S | The Traitor being the main weapon skin highlights.

The case was removed from the active drop pool on February 7, 2024, when the Kilowatt Case was released, which moved Snakebite into the rare drop pool.

Because of that, it is now more expensive than most active-drop cases, but it still sits within the cheap CS2 cases category.

Fracture Case

The Fracture Case was released in August 2020 and is currently one of the cheapest cases if you are aiming for one of these four knives:

The case also has some strong weapon skins, with the AK-47 | Legion of Anubis and Desert Eagle | Printstream being the main highlights. The Desert Eagle | Printstream is especially popular and remains one of the most loved Deagle skins in CS2.

Fever Case

Released on March 31, 2025, the Fever Case is one of the newest cases in CS2 and is Armory-exclusive (meaning it doesn't drop from weekly care packages and can only be purchased through the Armory for 2 Stars.)

The best covert skin in this case is the AWP | Printstream. For the Exceedingly Rare tier, you get Shattered Web knives (Nomad, Skeleton, Survival, Paracord) in Chroma finishes like Doppler, Fade and Tiger Tooth.

Clutch Case

Released in 2018, the Clutch Case is the most opened case in CS2 history, and for good reason. It features 24 glove skins in the Exceedingly Rare tier, including the iconic Sport Gloves | Vice, one of the most recognizable gloves in the game.

For weapon skins, the case has the M4A4 | Neo-Noir, MP7 | Bloodsport, and USP-S | Cortex, all fan favorites since release.

Price-wise, the Clutch Case has definitely seen better days. Over the last year, it dropped from around $1.20–$1.30 to under $1, with the price now sitting at around $0.80.

Final Note

If you’re looking for the cheapest cases in cs2, these seven are the most affordable options right now in July 2026. However, prices can change fast, and other cases may sit close to this range.

For example, new drops like the Dead Hand Terminal, released in March 2026, show how quickly case prices can move after release. It was trading above $4 early on, but is now closer to $1, so always check the current Steam Market price and third-party marketplace prices before buying or opening cases.
